Autism Awareness No. 6, Stimming On Spots
Artist

Medium
Mixed Media - Acrylic And Fabric Glitter Paint On Wood
Description
Stimming is a repetitive behavior that calms the person. With people on the ASD spectrum, some classic ways of stimming are lining things up, hand flapping, and spinning. These are actually ways that the person self regulates and calms their own nervous system. Here as you can see I've depicted stimming by painting a repetitive pattern of spots.
