Description
“And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were.
Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them.” Acts 2:2-3
We just celebrated the great feast of Pentecost, the day when the Holy Spirit who is love came upon the Apostles and they were able to preach the good news to all the nations. With all the turmoil, racism, hatred and unrest in the world I pray that all Christians may accept and share the Holy Spirit so that our world may be healed through love. The glorious bright colors, circular paint cells and free-flowing shapes made me think of the Holy Spirit.
I did this acrylic pour at night after my toddlers were asleep. In the quiet of the new night I was able to completely focus and enjoy the creative process and to paint this carefully step-by-step. My goal was to use many subtle differences in color. This is my favorite pour painting thus far.
