We were driving back from our errands when I looked out the side window and saw a woman crossing the street. She looked this way and that as she carefully made her way to the other side. She wore deep red with wonderfully large hoop earrings. I wanted so much to draw her portrait, so I did my best to place the memory of her in my mind. Later that day, I drew this.

Greetings! I am so happy to be a part of this amazing worldwide community or artists. I come from a family of creative people and am grateful to my parents for cultivating my creativity which is now part of my daily life. I am a classically-trained musician and violinist with a doctorate in violin performance and until recently was the director and conductor of the La Verne Symphony Orchestra which I am happy to say still flourishes in that city. At the moment I've left the stage in order to raise our two little babies. Being a mom is what I do now. And the challenge is weaving creativity into this new life.
