Artist's Description
There is so much going on right now, I had to create this to drop a pebble in the pond and hopefully make some positive ripples. I needed this to calm me as much as anyone. My family and I are in double lockdown, both from COVID and now the riots that are occurring in Los Angeles. I am so saddened that our nation still contains the scourge of racism and this piece is my little way of fighting it and trying to bring healing. To all the innocent people suffering right now, you’re in my prayers. This is a self portrait of me wearing a COVID mask containing words of the great civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Greetings! I am so happy to be a part of this amazing worldwide community or artists. I come from a family of creative people and am grateful to my parents for cultivating my creativity which is now part of my daily life. I am a classically-trained musician and violinist with a doctorate in violin performance and until recently was the director and conductor of the La Verne Symphony Orchestra which I am happy to say still flourishes in that city. At the moment I've left the stage in order to raise our two little babies. Being a mom is what I do now. And the challenge is weaving creativity into this new life.
