Artist's Description

This is a plein air painting of a tree in late autumn. The trees in our city have suddenly burst into colors of bright yellow, red, and orange amidst the cold calm blue of the mountains. This painting took a total of about 45 minutes to create. Painted on December 12, 2019. You can watch a time-lapse video of this paining at the following link

Greetings! I am so happy to be a part of this amazing worldwide community or artists. I come from a family of creative people and am grateful to my parents for cultivating my creativity which is now part of my daily life. I am a classically-trained musician and violinist with a doctorate in violin performance and until recently was the director and conductor of the La Verne Symphony Orchestra which I am happy to say still flourishes in that city. At the moment I've left the stage in order to raise our two little babies. Being a mom is what I do now. And the challenge is weaving creativity into this new life.
