Artist's Description
This painting has been a consolation for me many times during quarantine. My whole family is at home and our kids try to get to my paint, so I keep it all locked up in a cabinet with a key. Only when they are sleeping can I paint. That’s when I can create acrylic pour paintings and use what’s left over to pour onto this mosaic of colors, an amalgamation of many paintings into one. A few times when I’ve been desperate to paint in the day time once searched my patio for dried paint drips, peeled them off and placed them around on this canvas later to be adhered to it with wet paint during a moment of calm. The round circles are created by the iconic toilet paper roles as a tribute to the quarantine. This painting was dove over several months and is a living work.
